Medical Assistant (Clifton)
Dover Business College's CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program will prepare students with the skills necessary to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners and clinics running smoothly. As a caring, dedicated member of a medical team, a Medical Assistant generally takes vital signs, prepares patients for and assists physicians during the examination, collects and prepares laboratory specimens or performs basic laboratory tests on the premises, schedules appointments, bills patients, fills out insurance forms, and much more.

Graduates will have a fully rounded understanding of administrative competencies that will help them perform successfully in hospitals, physicians’ offices, healthcare clinics, rehabilitation centers, inpatient and outpatient facilities, nursing homes, offices of other healthcare practitioners, such as podiatrists, chiropractors, and optometrists, insurance companies, and private industry. The program internship will help students practice what they have learned in the classroom and will also give them the experience that employers are seeking.
