Medical Assisting - Diploma, Associate Degree

By instructing in a hands-on and career-focused way, Westwood College helps to prepare students for the workplace. Not only do students learn in the classroom, they also have a 160-hour externship where they work and train as a medical assistant in an actual office. This job experience and training is valuable for students as they embark on their own careers.

The CAHEP accredited Associate Degree program is only available at the Denver North campus.

Westwood College is currently nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) or the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), depending on the campus location. The Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) at the following campuses: Atlanta GA, Dallas & Ft. Worth TX, Denver North CO, Chicago IL, Calumet / River Oaks IL.
